FAQsWhat if my home already has an existing security system?

We can easily convert or upgrade your existing system, and then provide you with monitoring service.

Can I control my systems when I am away from my home or business?

Absolutely. Through a remote device, you can easily manage your home with a touch of a button.

In the case of an emergency, how can I call for help using my system?

We will provide you with a hold-up or medical assistance button. Upon pressing the code into your keypad, the authorities will be notified immediately.

Can I save money on my homeowners insurance policy by having an alarm system installed?

Most insurance carriers do offer discounts if your home is properly equipped with a smoke alarm or a security system. You may even be able to apply for immediate premium credit. You should contact your insurance company for more details. If you qualify, we will provide you with an installation certificate.

Do I have to register my alarm system with the local police department?

As a courtesy, CF Alarm will do the initial police registration. After that, it will be up to you to renew your registration each year and pay any fees as required by the police department.

If I am having trouble with my alarm, who can I call?

If you’re experiencing an issue with your system, please call us at (305) 251-1147. One of our qualified representatives can assist in troubleshooting your system. If the issue is not immediately resolved, an appointment will be scheduled at your convenience with one of our technicians.

How do I update the contacts on my call list?

If you would like to make any changes to the contact list on file, simply send us an email or fax with the updated information to info@cfalarm.net or (305)436-3804.

What if I have a pet? Will the animal set off my motion sensors?

Having a pet should not interfere with your system. We offer specially designed motion detectors that have pet immunity for animals that weigh up to 100 pounds.

My system is have trouble communicating. What should I do?
